Community Spirit
The Heart of the Event
One of the most cherished parts of Art in the Park is watching our town’s youngest community members show up with big smiles, helping hands, and a love for creativity. The student volunteers have truly become a defining element of what makes this day so special.
Sama Habibi, who helps coordinate the youth volunteer program, shared:
"What makes Art in the Park such a special event are the student volunteers. Kids ranging from 5th–12th grade come early on Sunday morning to help the artists carry their supplies to their spot, giving them plenty of time to set up. At the end of the day, students help the artists bring everything back to their cars. The feedback from artists is amazing—they’re so thankful and always tell us how kind and helpful the kids are. This is why Art in the Park is one of the best days in Peapack-Gladstone!"
🧡 Community Service That Counts
Student volunteers not only have a blast—they also earn community service hours for their time. It’s a great way to be involved, meet new friends, and give back to the local arts scene. Interested students (grades 5–12) can sign up by reaching out to Sama or emailing: pgartinthepark@gmail.com.
🎨 A Day Full of Fun for Kids
Art in the Park is a safe and exciting place for kids to explore their creative side! This year’s kid-friendly highlights include:
🖌️ Center for Contemporary Art – Kids can dive into hands-on painting activities designed to spark their imagination.
👯 Treatwell’s Friendship-Making Station – A charming stop for kids to connect, craft, and make new friends.
🎭 Art Sink Face Painting – Always a hit, Art Sink’s sensational face painter brings smiles to every little visitor.
✍️ NEW! Caricatures – Brand new this year! A professional caricature artist will be on-site sketching fun and quirky portraits—your child could walk away with a one-of-a-kind keepsake.
🛍️ Shopping Just for Them – Kids love browsing the booths with handmade goodies, colorful art, and even pup-themed gifts (because we know how much kids love dogs, too!).

Art in the Park wouldn’t be the same without the energy, kindness, and excitement that our kids bring to the day. They are truly the heart of this community celebration!
