ABOUT US

For 25 years, Art in the Park has been one of Peapack-Gladstone’s most beloved and vibrant community events. What started as a grassroots initiative to connect local artists with the community has grown into a cherished tradition that celebrates creativity, connection, and small-town charm.

Held each September at Liberty Park, this annual event features dozens of talented local artists and makers showcasing an incredible selection of fine art, jewelry, pottery, textiles, photography, and more. Visitors can stroll the park, enjoy live music, grab delicious bites from local food vendors, and take home one-of-a-kind treasures.

A Community Effort

One of the most unique aspects of Art in the Park is the strong sense of community behind it. From our enthusiastic volunteers—including 5th to 12th grade students who help artists set up and break down their displays—to the local bands, food vendors, and nonprofit partners, Art in the Park is truly a community-powered event. Artists often tell us how impressed they are by the kindness and helpfulness of our young volunteers, calling them one of the highlights of the day.

Over the years, Art in the Park has welcomed groups like The Arts Access Program at Matheny, The Cottage School, and the Peapack-Gladstone Historic Committee, expanding the event’s impact beyond the arts to embrace history, inclusion, and education.

Honoring Our Legacy

Art in the Park is proudly presented as part of the Peapack-Gladstone Recreation Department, and it wouldn’t be what it is today without the creativity, dedication, and heart of the many volunteers and committee members who have helped shape it over the past 25 years. We are proud to celebrate this milestone by recognizing those who poured their time and talent into building and growing this beloved community tradition.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to:

Sherri Engelmann, Diane Becker, Janice Dolan, Amy Dietrich, Deborah Ludtke, Jane Simon, Carla Cirillo, Sasha Bligh, Sama Habibi, Ronni Armellino-Goodwin, and Stacey Rogers.

Each of these individuals has played an important role in keeping the spirit of Art in the Park alive—ensuring it remains a vibrant, inclusive, and inspiring day for the entire Peapack-Gladstone community.

Please reach out if I left someone out or If you have any additional input to the history or succession order.
